Epic
Land Solutions, Inc. is proud to announce and welcome Rod Bliss as its
newest Project Manager and Project Advisor in its Northwest office.
Mr. Bliss brings over 25 years of experience in the right of way
industry and has a proven track record for successful right of way
projects. Before joining Epic, Mr.
Bliss was Right of Way Supervisor for Washington County,
where he managed dozens of large scale County right of way projects, as
well as projects for other Local Public Agencies. Prior to working at the County, Rod had
an extensive career at Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT),
including time at Regions 3, 2 and 1.
From Agent to Right of Way Supervisor, Rod worked on numerous of
ODOT projects and was acclaimed with awards such as the 3-E (Economic,
Efficiency, Excellence) for his department, and the RAT award (Relocation
Achievement Testimonial). He also
helped develop ODOT’s computerized cost estimation program in the
early 1990’s. Mr.
Bliss’ diverse experience spans across rail, highway/roadway,
utility, airport, dam and port projects, with correspondingly diverse
funding sources.

Mr. Bliss is a Senior member of the International Right of Way
Association (SR/WA) and remains active.
Epic is a certified M/W/ESB and has one office in Portland,
Oregon and 3 locations in California, including Riverside,
Torrance and San Diego.

Northwest Regional Manager
Announced!
Steve Fox, formerly a San Diego based
Epic team member, was promoted to Regional Manager for Epic’s
Northwest office July 6th.
Prior to joining Epic, Steve
appraised furniture, fixtures and equipment for a prominent appraisal
firm in San Diego.
At Epic, he hit the ground running, overseeing a variety of projects for
cities in Southern California. His
duties have included overseeing appraisal work, collaborating with
engineers, drafting easement and fee simple interest documents,
negotiating with property owners, as well as providing property management
and relocation assistance services. Besides serving cities, he
provided project management and acquisition services for wind energy
clients.
He has performed residential emergency and temporary relocations, and
permanent business relocations in the Northwest. He has taken on
projects in mid-stream and refocused our efforts to connect with public
agencies and companies in the region.

carry that culture to the Northwest in his new role as a Regional
Manager.”

Tom Petrosky, SR/WA Joins Epic
Tom Petrosky, SR/WA has joined Epic Land Solutions as a Project
Manager in our San Diego
office. Tom has over 10 years experience in the Right of Way industry,
with specific expertise in permitting, easements, acquisition and
negotiation, and title research.
Most recently, he worked for NV Energy in Las Vegas, Nevada
as a Right of Way Agent acquiring land for distribution and transmission
lines. Tom helped the City of San Diego Real Estate
Assets Department
and worked closely with the California
Department of Transportation, Department of the Navy, and
Port of San Diego
. Additionally, he has
worked with other major public entities such as the Bureau of Land
Management, Union Pacific Railroad, Bureau of Reclamation, Nevada
Department of Transportation, BNSF Railroad, and San Diego Water Authority.
Tom is a Senior Member of the Chapter 11, International Right of Way
Association where he has continued his education in the Right of Way
industry. He has also received his Bachelors of Art in Political Science
at the University of Denver, Colorado as well as his Juris Doctor degree
from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington.

Duncan Robb Joins Epic
Duncan Robb, SR/WA has joined
Epic Land Solutions as Project Manager. Duncan has served more than 30 years in
the Right of Way industry, providing comprehensive project management and
supervision to public and private entities.
Most recently, he served as Real Estate Project Manager for the Los
Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).
Throughout his 16-year career at MTA he developed and implemented
practices for property acquisition management, leasing and asset
management. He has a proven record in maximizing value and
utility of properties in Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties. In addition, he
has held positions as a Corporate Broker and has served as a Right of Way
Agent for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway.
Duncan
is a member of the Chapter 1, International Right of Way Association, and
serves as the chapter’s Chairman for the Property Management
Committee. He has been a guest speaker at several IRWA Seminars and has
made presentations to public and private groups regarding property
management practices for public agencies.

Epic Land Solutions is recognized as
IRWA Chapter 57 Large Employer of the Year for 2008.
In September 2004, Epic opened its first Riverside
office. Since then, it is has grown significantly. It is now
home to 20 experienced right of way professionals.
The Inland Empire staff consists of
Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Certified Property
Managers, Senior Agents, Utility Relocation Specialists,
Acquisition Agents, Relocation Agents, GIS Technicians and Administrative
Support.
