The NE Spring Boulevard Project for the City of Bellevue received recognition from APWA Washington as Project of the Year in the Transportation Category – Projects valued between $25 – $75 million. EPIC was contracted directly with the City for this project, providing real estate advisory services and review appraisal work involving acquisitions for street right of way related easements. HDR led the project through design and construction, overcoming constructing through a global pandemic, high area seismicity, and substantial remediation requirements. Through the support of many varying consultants like EPIC, the project was able to be completed on time and budget this past October 2020. NE Spring Boulevard is the first project in the City of Bellevue that was designed with multimodal transportation as its foundation, a “complete streets” design focus to enable safe, convenient, and comfortable travel for users of all ages and abilities. EPIC has been supporting projects of this nature almost since the firm’s founding in 2000 and prides itself on the support we give to communities throughout all our service regions to improve the way of life for travelers all along the West Coast. Congratulations to HDR and all firms involved in bringing the monumental NE Spring Boulevard Project to life!
